A study is being conducted to evaluate whether an investigational drug can reduce the risk of previously diagnosed HER-2 positive breast cancer from returning after treatment with trastuzumab. This study will enroll women who have erbB-2 (HER-2) positive breast cancer and have completed a course of prior trastuzumab treatment.
You may be able to participate in this study if you:
- Have erbB-2 (HER-2) positive breast cancer.
- Have completed a course of prior trastuzumab treatment.
- Have a diagnosis of early stage (I, II, III, IIIB, IIIC) primary breast cancer.
- Are not currently receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy or biotherapy for breast cancer.
Study participation lasts for up to approximately 5 years. All office visits, study-related medical evaluations, and study drug will be provided to participants at no cost.
